Some musical partnerships feel meant to be...
Natali Boghossian and Hans van Beelen met just before the world changed in 2020, and in the uncertainty that followed, music became their anchor. They found comfort in making music together, not just as performers but as two artists who understood each other instinctively.
Their debut as a duo came in February 2020 at Opera Pietje in Theater Purmaryn, and from that moment,
Duo Encanto was born.
Their repertoire is as diverse and colourful as their artistry. They bring together well-known and hidden gems, from opera arias to cabaret and art songs, performed in multiple languages and styles. For them, every piece is a story, every note a thread in a larger drama. Their performances take audiences on an intimate journey filled with humour, energy and deep emotion.
But Duo Encanto is more than just a duet. It is a dialogue between voice and piano, between two artists and their audience. Hans’s natural musical sensitivity brings out the warmth and richness of Natali’s soulful Falcon soprano voice, while her commanding stage presence and expressive artistry elevate every note he plays.
Together, they create something rare - a musical synergy that feels effortless yet electrifying.
Their name, Duo Encanto, reflects exactly what they bring to the stage. It means both to sing and to enchant, capturing the magic they create every time they perform.

Natali Boghossian is a Dutch-Armenian Falcon soprano, opera singer and recitalist born in Germany. Known for her dark, soulful voice and expressive storytelling, she brings emotional depth and sincerity to every performance. Trained under Elena Vassilieva and through masterclasses with David Gowland (Royal Opera House) and Christa Ludwig, among others, she performs internationally across opera, concert and recital stages, blending musical brilliance with dramatic insight.
A Doctor of Literature, writer and librettist, Natali works at the intersection of voice, myth and contemporary ritual. As founder and artistic director of Stichting Increato (ArtIncreato), she creates projects that bridge music, literature and philosophy, exploring the dialogue between tradition and innovation. Her libretti and recital programmes weave poetic language, philosophical themes and the feminine mythos, transforming opera into a living space of reflection, imagination and connection.
